Ben Stiller is one of Hollywood's best comedic talents in my book, and thanks to Chrissie Hsu I am finding myself liking him even more. One of Chrissie's clients just so happens to be the Smithsonian Channel, and Ben Stiller just so happens to be currently making NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN; therefore she has been very gracious to lend us this information. Smithsonian Channel's David Royle and Charles Poe recently decided to approach Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy and ask them for a favor.

The Smithsonian Institution's Castle is a great focus to more than 25 million visitors each year, so the Institution decided to create a 10 minute orientation video, and why not see if Ben Stiller would be interested? "Only two problems: (1), these guys are right in the middle of production on a megamillion-dollar blockbuster; and (2) we’re asking them to do it for free!"

To their surprise Ben Stiller agreed, and as a very big bonus Shawn Levy jumped in to direct and the talented John Schwartzman will shoot. To make things even better, they decided to shoot on the film's set in Vancouver, British Columbia. They have a bigger Smithsonian castle there that has been built specifically for the NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM sequel. This 10 minute video is looking like it will be a little more than the orientation videos I remember watching at museums.

Check out Charles Poe's full blog and interaction with Ben Stiller HERE, and go see NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 when it hits theaters!
