Billy Bob Thornton aligns more actors for JAYNE MANSFIELD’S CAR
The dramedy JAYNE MANSFIELD’S CAR already had Robert Duvall on board, but Billy Bob Thornton nabbed even more actors to star alongside him in his next venture as a film director.
Deadline Hollywood relays that Kevin Bacon, John Hurt, and Ray Stevenson will star in the feature; Duvall’s previously reported association with the project is also mentioned. Other actors like Dennis Quaid and Dwight Yoakam are also attached for roles; John Patrick Amedori, who starred alongside Rachael Leigh Cook and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks in THE FAMILY TREE, will play one of the film’s leading characters.
JAYNE MANSFIELD’S CAR takes place in 1969 and focuses on two families clashing due to cultural differences. Films about feuding families can be terrific. In some cases, though, they can be quite terrible. However, the cast is definitely promising, as is Thornton sitting in the director’s chair. Personally, I can’t wait to see this one.
