Billy Bob Thornton is FASTER
Billy Bob Thornton, a man who has the absolute honor of having the same birthday as Rusty Gordon, has signed on to play a major part in the upcoming action film FASTER, according to Variety.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is already attached to play the film’s main character, Driver, “an ex-con out to avenge his brother’s murder.” Thornton will be playing a character with even less letters in his name, Cop. Guess what his job is? Thornton’s Cop will be trailing the Driver as he goes on his mission of vengeance. Johnson and Thornton take care of the casting for two of FASTER’s main roles, although the role of the hitman trying to get the Driver has yet to be cast (his name would be Killer).
George Tillman, Jr. is set to direct FASTER. Tillman previously directed SOUL FOOD, MEN OF HONOR, and most recently, NOTORIOUS.
FASTER currently has a release date of October 15, 2010.
