Black Widow getting her own film

It looks like even the non-superhero members of the Marvel Universe are set to hit the big screen for their own feature films.

According to Screen Rant, Kevin Feige, head of Marvel, confirmed that Black Widow, the character played by Scarlett Johansson in IRON MAN 2, will in fact be getting her own feature film, with discussions between Marvel and Johansson “already started.”

Now, THE AVENGERS “comes first” according to Feige, and while this seems far more likely than the long-talked about Nick Fury flick or a S.H.I.E.L.D film, I do have to say, I’m a little mixed here. I don’t mind the idea of getting a Black Widow film, as some of her recent comic storylines have been rather interesting, at least according to those who read her solo book, but I just don’t know what could really be made here. Also, Johansson isn’t the strongest of actors, and while I do think she’s talented, I just don’t know if she could carry an entire Black Widow film.
