Breaking news! THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is a movie, it has a trailer, and some dude has seen it.

We just received news that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES does, in fact, have a trailer. This coming on the heels of the first teaser poster which was revealed yesterday. Speculation has been mounting for some time now, as it seemed director Christopher Nolan had been working with some kind of cast and crew filming a mysterious movie about a caped man. We can now confirm that the movie is indeed THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Not only that, we can also confirm that a major motion picture will be getting its very own trailer, and someone has already seen this trailer and find the need to describe it to people!

The title of "white knight" belongs to the folks over at Collider and AICN, who both confirmed its existence. Check out the description of a trailer which will tease a movie that exists and is coming out at an unconfirmed date sometime in the future, after the jump.

Pretty cool, eh? I'm not sure it measures up to the infamous "leak of the color wheel used to paint the promotional poster for an untitled film that may or may not exist" back in 2007, but it's still pretty neat.

In other news, I am thinking about making a trailer for a movie that I have not written yet and may never write.
