Brian K Vaughn sits at the Roundtable
Brian K Vaughn is finally starting to get the recognition he deserves. He started in comics writing one of the most highly acclaimed comics of all time, Y: The Last Man. Then, he joined Lost this season, as a staff writer, and wrote some of the best episodes of Lost to date. Now after a fierce bidding war, Dreamworks, won the rights to Vaughn's comedy spec script Roundtable. The story is set in the 21st century and revolves around Merlin assembling a bunch of modern-day knights to battle a resurrected ancient evil, only to discover that today's knights are all washed-up athletes, cowardly scientists or Academy Award-winning actors. It is different take on the Arthurian legend comparing it to the same tone as Ghostbusters rather than Excalibur. Either way I am there, since there has not ever been a project of Vaughn's I did not love.
