The guys and gals over at Cinematical got their hands on an exclusive teaser poster for the film BROTHERS, starring Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhaal. Directed by James Sheridan (THE BOXER) and adapted from a 2004 Danish film of the same name, BROTHERS tells the story of a Marine (Maguire) that goes missing, subsequently causing his brother (Gyllenhaal) to comfort his wife (Portman) to help her hold her family together. In a Shakespearean twist, Maguire returns from the dead and the three must readjust to their newfound family situation. Awkwardness ensues.

I have yet to see a trailer for BROTHERS but, with this cast and what could prove to be a powerfully moving and dramatic story, it could turn out to be quite an amazing film. I've been longing to see Maguire, aka the nerdy Gyllenhaal, and Gyllenhaal, aka the cool Maguire, in a film together for quite some time now.

On a side note, I can't wait for our resident poster critic Alexander Flores to weigh in on this very interesting design for next week's "The good, the bad, the ugly posters of the week!"
