Bruce Willis, Forest Whitaker, and Malin Akerman join indie crime drama CATCH .44
Writer and director Aaron Harvey seems to be setting up a dream cast for his directorial debut film CATCH .44. Bruce Willis, Forest Whitaker, and Malin Akerman have all signed on to star in the independent crime drama. Though Variety reports that this is Harvey's directorial debut, IMDb has him listed as the director of a horror film called THE EVIL WOODS.
CATCH .44 centers on three women, led by Akerman's character, who find themselves involved with a psychopathic hitman (Whitaker), a hard-living truck driver, and a delusional line cook. Willis will play the criminal mastermind who controls everything. Kate Mara is attached to the film as well. In all likelihood, she will play one of the the three women.
The film sounds awfully intriguing and the level of talent it's attracted has me looking forward to this one. I can't wait to see who they cast as the third woman in the trio. Hopefully these female characters are as badass as their male counterparts. We need more tough chicks on the big screen.
Filming is scheduled to begin on July 11 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
