Bryan Cranston and Michael Cudlitz join THE GRIEF TOURIST
The Emmy Awards took place this past Sunday and one of the night’s big winners, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, is riding that wave of success straight to yet another project.
After joining Nicholas Winding Refn’s upcoming film, DRIVE, Variety is reporting that he and fellow TV staple, Michael Cudlitz (Southland) have joined the upcoming thriller, THE GRIEF TOURIST. The film will follow “a troubled soul who retraces the footsteps of serial killers who fascinate him as his hobby. His dark obsession with past killers soon becomes his reality and leads viewers on a menacing and horrific journey inside his twisted mind.”

It will be directed as Suri Krishnamma and penned by Frank John Hughes, and while I’m not the biggest fan of the premise, I do really love this news, as these two are both fantastic actors. I think the film could be a rather standard indie thriller, which are a dime a dozen these days, but hopefully these two will bring the material above and beyond its fellow indie brethren.
