Bryan Cranston joins GANGSTER SQUAD
Ever since the film’s script hit the Black List, Warner Bros.’s GANGSTER SQUAD has not only been one of the most talked about projects from that respective studio, but in the film world in general. With a killer cast including Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Michael Pena, and Anthony Mackie, the project is one that the studio is handling with the utmost of care.
And now that cast got even better.
Variety is reporting that Bryan Cranston has joined the film’s cast. He’ll play an LAPD officer named Max Kennard, and will be one member of a team who attempts to take out the East Coast mob’s influence on West Coast crime. The film is helmed by Ruben Fleischer with a script from Will Beall.
Personally, I don't think this film couldn’t get more interesting. With a top-notch cast and a director looking to step out of his comfort zone, this project screams hit. That said, a lot can go wrong, but it seems like with this team, that happening isn’t very likely. What do you think?
