Ever since it's Sundance 2010 premier, buzz for BURIED has been spreading like wild-fire between bloggers and pro's alike. The verdict has long since passed that BURIED is a must see for horror/thriller fans, but unfortunately, all we get for now is trailers. In the past, we've gotten a teaser and a few posters, but now we have a full length, theatrical trailer. A big thanks to Yahoo! Movies for supplying the below 1:30.

Check it out after the jump!

If you're expecting to see actual footage, don't hold your breath. Similar to the rest of the material we've seen so far, the trailer is a fantastic tease. It manages to give more of the intensity promised in past peeks, while still maintaining it's sexy/scary shroud of anonymity that's kept the growing fan-base for the project coming back for more. Now, brace yourself. It's a rough ride.

Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap. (IMDB)
My only hesitation in seeing this upon it's much anticipated theater arrival is, given that I get shivers watching the trailer, my confidence in staying planted in my seat for all of it's 95 minute running time is slim to none. The film, made by blooming director Rodrigo Cortes (previously of, DIRT DEVIL, 15 DAYS, and INTERRUPTUS), stars Ryan Reynolds as leading man Paul Conroy.
While the colored driving lines bolster the independent feel the film has has all along, I think the music subtracts from the intensity. From the fast-paced bongos in the beginning to the moving string parts, it just feels very commercial. I preferred the quite, eery tones we got on the teaser. A small qualm, I know, but a qualm nonetheless.
Though I may resist, I think I have good enough friends that I'll be dragged to see this one, whether I want to or not. I have a feeling it'll be worth it.

I saw this film at Sundance this past year and can say that all of the buzz is appropriate. It's an engaging film. Hard to believe an entire film could be shot in a coffin, but it totally works.

Also agree with #1. Every single time First Blood is on TV I watch it (which has been happening a lot on AMC). Just a damn good movie. Really original protagonist and some really good antagonists too.
