And the Cannes news just keeps rolling in.

Now just two days away from the start of the prestigious festival, two more films have debuted some new footage, both of which are more than enticing.

First up, Jean-Luc and Pierre Dardenne have seen two clips from their upcoming film THE KID WITH THE BIKE head into the ether, and this thing looks absolutely fantastic. The film stars Cecile De France, Thomas Doret, Jeremie Renier, and Fabrizio Rongione, and follows a boy learning to cope with his rage following being abandoned by his father. He meets a salon owner, and we follow their relationship. The clip oozes the Dardenne Brothers’ patented style, and looks to be a real winner. The performances appear to be top notch, particularly by De France, who has always been an actress to keep an eye on.

Finally, a teaser for the upcoming film, L’APOLLONIDE, has hit, and while it’s distinctly NSFW, it’s still gorgeous.

The film is directed by Bertrand Bonello, and follows a group of prostitutes who turn themselves away from the world after one was disfigured. I think this trailer hints at a film that doesn’t mind having an action-packed frame, as some of these shots are almost dance-like in the way that the use movement to draw in the viewer’s eye. I really think that this could be a contender for the fest’s big prize, so keep an eye out for this one.

You can check out all the clips over at The Playlist (THE KID WITH THE BIKE) and The Playlist (L'APOLLONIDE).
