Cannes 2011: Kinda-NSFW but totally beautiful poster for L’APOLLONIDE
This year, the Cannes Film Festival is set to not only bring some of the biggest names in the film world, but also some of the raciest films around.
With the trailer and poster for Julia Leigh’s upcoming film, SLEEPING BEAUTY, heating up the web a week or so ago, IonCinema has a poster that will be turning more than a few heads.
The outlet has the new poster for the upcoming Bertrand Bonello film, L’APOLLONIDE (hat tip to The Playlist). Starring Hafsia Herzi, Celine Sallette, Jasmine Trinca, Adele Haenel, Alice Barnole, Iliana Zabeth, and Noemie Lvovsky, the film follows a group of brothel workers, who shun the world after one is disfigured by a client.
Bonello is best known for his film, THE PORNOGRAPHER, but based on this poster, this film may be one of the films to watch for at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. It’s not 100% NSFW, but it is definitely a head turner, so be sure to keep this one to your home life. Bosses may not appreciate the ample amount of skin being flaunted here. That said, they would be hard-pressed to not find this poster absolutely beautiful. It's simplistic, classic, and sexy as all hell. Color me intrigued.
