And the onslaught of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS promotion continues.

Today brings us, thanks to MTV, a trio of short new trailers, focusing on three of the characters that will be at the center of the upcoming Matthew Vaughn-directed summer action film. Looking at Banshee, Beast, and Havoc, these three short trailers give us a cavalcade of new footage, and continue the rise in quality of promotional material being released for the film. After starting with a collection of terrible posters (which seems to still be an issue for the film), we’ve gotten a few really great trailers, and for all intents and purposes, this appears to be one of the year’s more interesting summer blockbusters.

Personally, I think the Banshee trailer is the most telling. There is a lot of humor in that short minute spot, as well as some really fantastic action. I think the effects work looks great, and so does the film’s action choreography. The Beast spot is interesting, and the Havoc one is the most visually striking. Overall, I really dig what I’m seeing from the film so far.  Here’s to hoping it can live up to the hype.

I am excited for this movie! I really like how in the beginning Havok’s “gift” looks like destructive hula hooping…
