Check, please! The $11,000 bill for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
$11,558 to be exact. That is how much it cost to make PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, the little indie horror film that, to this date, has grossed over $100,000,000 domestically. For that amount of money, I imagine you could just pay the demon off and he would leave you alone.
But where did all that cash go, with a movie starring two unknown actors, shot on location at director Oren Peli’s own home and using a prosumer camera readily available to any want-to-be film maker with a high-limit credit card? Well, $100 of it definitely went towards Red Bull for those late night shoots!
Check out Peli’s break-down of the budget, down to the last dollar, after the jump!
