Chelsea Handler joins cast of THIS MEANS WAR
Even if her jokes on the MTV Music Awards didn't go over well, Chelsea Handler still is pretty funny. I mean, she's dating 50 Cent! If that's not funny, what is? But that's not what this news is about. Joseph McGinty Nichol, or McG (TERMINATOR SALVATION, CHARLIE'S ANGELS ) as most of us know him, has now added Handler to his THIS MEANS WAR's already-great cast.
The story revolves around two best friends, played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, who are also spies who happen to fall in love with the same woman, Reese Witherspoon. McG's action and comedy then ensues. Handler's character is to be the best friend and confidante of Witherspoon’s character. The film challenges the question - what's more important, your best friend or the love of your life?
Although the concept doesn't feel incredibly original, it will be exciting to watch the hilarity of Chris Pine and Tom Brady. One of my favorite things about J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK was Chris Pine's performance as Kirk and how funny he was. Tom Brady is just great, I can say that I just love watching the guy on screen.
This script has been thrown around a lot, until it was recently fast-tracked for production, so expect to see a poster or a teaser coming at us soon.
