Most of the details regading the next TRANSFORMERS film have been kept a secret, aside from the little debacle of Megan Fox being excluded from the film, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's subsequent casting. We've had a steady flow of rumors heading our way, but now we seem to have some more hard information, this time brought to you by a Transformers children's book. And not just any Transformers book, but the one the third film in the franchise is reportedly based on.

Check out the book's official synopsis after the break!

"The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth."

The space race is an interesting direction to take the film in, and hopefully can flourish into something really special. The likelihood of this happening is slim to none though, this is TRANSFORMERS we are talking about, after all. I'm sure the second sequel will be another action-packed, fun, exciting film that everyone will see. Including myself.
