Chloe Moretz in talks to join DARK SHADOWS
As the film nears production, the cast for Tim Burton’s long-talked about rehash of the 1960’s TV drama, Dark Shadows, continues to grow into what appears to be a step in the right direction for the polarizing filmmaker.
Badass Digest dug up a post on IMDb saying that Chloe Moretz will join the film’s cast (with Deadline confirming her talks), as the daughter of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the Collins family matriarch, and owner of the mansion in which the film’s supernatural happenings will take place.
Saying that Moretz is a current “it” actress is quite an understatement, as the actress has just wrapped shooting on Martin Scorcese’s upcoming HUGO CABRET, and will also be shooting HICK relatively soon with Blake Lively and Alec Baldwin.
With a cast including Johnny Depp, Michael Sheen, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jackie Earle Haley, and Bella Heathcoate, DARK SHADOWS is shaping up to be one of the more interesting films in recent memory for Burton, and one that feels right down his alley. The addition of Moretz adds a lot of intrigue to this project, making this one film I can’t wait to check out.
