From God of thunder to fairy tale huntsman, Chris Hemsworth is becoming one of the hottest names in the acting world.
With THOR set to send him directly to the A-list later this week, Variety is reporting that Hemsworth is now attached to the role of the Hunstman, in the upcoming film, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN.
Previously attached to names like Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman, the role would see Hemsworth starring opposite Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart in the Rupert Sanders helmed Universal project. The film will tell the story of the relationship between the two titular characters, who must team up to defeat the evil queen, after the latter is sent to kill the former.
With Hemsworth grabbing really good reviews for his turn in THOR, this likely won’t be the last role for the actor, who is currently in production on his return to the role of the Norse God in the upcoming AVENGERS film. This project has been gestating for quite some time now, but with Hemsworth attached, it should, barring another casting switch, be ready to move forward quite soon.
The film will be hitting on December 21, 2012.
