Chris Tucker to return to the silver screen in THE RABBIT
We enjoyed him in those FRIDAY movies as well as the RUSH HOUR series, but it's been a minute (actually a lot longer than that) since Chris Tucker graced the screen in a new release. There's no explanation for the comedian's long absence that I can find and most just chalk it up to him being highly selective about his film projects.
Tucker, who does his best work as the fast-talking sidekick, is attached to another such role in the upcoming project THE RABBIT. The film, which will see Tucker in a leading role, is being compared to MIDNIGHT RUN, the Robert De Niro/Charles Grodin (another man known for long sabbaticals from movies) starring film.
Warner Bros. just picked up the spec script from Micah Barnett. SHERLOCK HOLMES producer Dan Lin is producing. There is no director attached at this point and no production start date as of yet.
