Nicolas Winding Refn (BRONSON, the PUSHER trilogy) is a director to watch, and his first foray into big time Hollywood moviemaking has just hired on an actress we all love to watch...well, at least us guys. Christina Hendricks (Firefly, Mad Men) is in final negotiations to appear alongside Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston in DRIVE - a film based on a book by James Sallis centering around a Hollywood stunt driver that leads a double life as a getaway driver.

It's unknown at this point what kind of role the sultry Hendricks will wind up playing, but it's a safe bet that Gosling's character might wind up being seduced or at least tempted by the curvy actress. This is definitely a film and a cast to get excited about, and we'll let you know more in the months to come.

Hopefully, Hendricks won't go the same route as actresses like Jennifer Connelly and Christina Ricci that felt it was necessary to slim down and curb their sex appeal considerably in order to secure better, more dramatic roles. The difference is Hendricks seems to like her curves, and most importantly, she's getting acclaim on one of television's best shows for playing a sexpot with a heart.

Will she eventually grow tired of these kinds of roles and long to pursue Oscar gold? Fingers crossed that never happens, right fellas?
