Cinematic Swag: Scott Pilgrim action figures

Great...as if I needed something else non-necessity related and movie-themed to feel bad about spending money on.

Mezco Toyz - makers of merchandise for such beloved films as THE GOONIES and THE WARRIORS - have recently released a Scott Pilgrim 6-inch action figure set based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's cult graphic novel, complete with a bass-wielding Sex Bom-omb Scott and a samurai sword-equipped, parka-wearing Scott. Now you can make Scott Pilgrim vs. himself, your G.I. Joes, and even all those leftover Beanie Babies that you your mom and your sister bought when those were mysteriously popular and somehow deemed to have monetary value back in the day.

The set of 2 figures will only set you back a cool $30 and are currently available for pre-order to ship in April of 2011. Another cool tidbit? According to the toy makers, "this item has variants (painting/ sculpting/ or other) randomly inserted throughout the production run." It is likely that means that mini-Scott comes with a different color shirt but I not-so-secretly have hopes that it could mean somewhere out there is a Nega Scott. I also have no-so-subtle desires that these will not be the last we see of small-scale SP characters.

Check out photos of the pair of plastic Pilgrims together after the break. Then head over to Mezco and order your own!
