In celebration of the DVD release for the 7th season from TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (the beloved animated series that ruined the reality of pizza for kids everywhere), Lionsgate has put a cool Ninja Turtles sound widget up on their site.  So check it out here, pick your favorite turtle and prank call your local retirement home by asking them "Hey, what's up?" to which they will reply with "Not much, dude. What's up with you?" to which you can reply with the sound widget "I'm going to the Shogun zone for some good ole ninja action! Who's with me?"

Have fun! I. LOVE. BEING. A. TURTLE!

DISCLAIMER: We here at Gordon and the Whale do not condone the prank calling of retirement homes or any similar such establishment. We completely condone the prank calling of The Foot's dojo, the Technodrome and/or Channel 6 News Station.

Comment back with your favorite turtle and subsequent line from the sound widget.

Michelangelo. DUH. “Laid back party hardy” was a real winner – chock full of the dichotomous nature I associate with all things Ninja Turtle.

Michaelangelo: “Holy guacamole with hot sauce and jalapeños!”

Since I’m known to be pretty uptight, I’m going to have to go with Rafael!

  • Ryan Ellis

Im with Chase, I loved Raphael. Everyone else loved Mike and I wanted to be different. Plus Raph was kind of a loner and I liked it.

I always had a fondness for Donatello, or as I and the rest of the turtles so affectionately called him “Donnie.” He was a brilliant genius but when the time came he still knew how to kick ass and have room left to party afterward.

I mean “Donatello does machines” and you can’t argue with that because “That’s a fact jack!”

PS: My favorite line from this sound machine is in fact “I’m going to the Shogun zone for some good ole ninja action! Who’s with me?”

When I was a kid, I had a stuffed Michelangelo that was as big as me. I loved him. We also had matching ski goggles – that’s right, TMNT brand ski goggles. My parents loved me a lot.
