Cool video: RED DAWN crew blows up a building

One of the best jobs in the movie industry is the guy that gets to blow shit up. There's nothing more fun than getting paid to walk around a building all day, setting up dynamite, walking out, and watching the place explode - and somehow hoping Bin Laden was hiding out in there. Of course, there's a bunch of safety mumbo jumbo you have to follow, but still, you get to BLOW SHIT UP!

A fine example of this job is in this video of the RED DAWN crew blowing up a building in Detroit yesterday for a scene in the movie. Not sure what scene, but I can tell you that it involves a building and explosives.

RED DAWN is a remake of the 1984 film of the same name with Chris Hemsworth, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Peck, and Tom Cruise's son Connor taking the places of Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, and Jennifer Grey. Instead of fighting off Soviet troops, the new crew will be fending off Chinese and Russian armies.

Check out the video after the jump! The explosion happens around the 45 second mark!
