So how long until he drops out of the film?

Vulture is reporting that LARS AND THE REAL GIRL helmer Craig Gillespie is set to helm the long-gestating adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s revisionist take on the story of Pride & Prejudice, PRIDE & PREJUDICE & ZOMBIES.

Putting the director’s chair as a revolving door would be saying it lightly, as the film has seen names like David O. Russell and Mike White hop aboard the film, only to jettison themselves off of it relatively closely thereafter.

Now, this is definitely an interesting pick, as Gillespie is far from the first name one would think of for a film like this, but also has a certain style that would fit really well with this project. I’m a really big fan of Gillespie’s and have nothing but the highest of hopes for this film. It sounds like a really interesting picture, and one that hopefully can get some momentum now that it has found a director.
