While they may not be the most respected of awards on the planet, or may not say the most about what will happy come Oscar time, this year's Critic's Choice Awards are no less interesting.

Taking home the most awards this year is Chris Nolan's below the line masterpiece INCEPTION, and while it didn't win the bigger awards the show had to offer, it has proved itself as the film to beat this Oscar season on the technical side of things.

THE FIGHTER was the night's biggest shock, taking home Best Actress, Supporting Actor, and Ensemble, proving that it was one of the year's most critically lauded films. BLACK SWAN rightly took home Best Actress, and while Aronofsky didn't win Best Director, it's still very much a three horse race for that award come Oscar time. Colin Firth shocked no one by taking home Best Actor for THE KING'S SPEECH, but it was THE SOCIAL NETWORK that absolutely stole the evening. Taking home the night's biggest prize, the film continues its year long domination of the awards season.

Inception deserves to win the Oscar, but The social Network exists! Damn it!

Hahaha, that’s a very common problem for many people it seems. Social Network seems to have it in the bag though. And it rightly should. Great, great film.
