Dakota Fanning joins GIRL’S NIGHT OUT
Talk about an interesting choice.
According to Variety, Dakota Fanning has joined the cast of the upcoming film, GIRL’S NIGHT OUT. Based on a true story, the actress will play Princess Margaret in the film, which will follow a “teenage Princess Margaret on V.E. Day in 1945 when she and her sister Elizabeth are allowed out from Buckingham Palace for one night to join in the celebrations, the night encompasses thrills, romance and danger.”
Based on a script by Trevor De Silva, the film will be helmed by Michael Hoffman (THE LAST STATION), who is also getting set to jump in the director’s chair for the Coen brothers-penned remake of GAMBIT, with Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz.
Personally, I am a pretty big fan of Fanning as an actress, so this is a great addition to an already interesting sounding project. Hoffman is a really skilled and assured filmmaker, who is looking to have one hell of a busy 2011. This should start shooting come the end of this year, so expect quite a bit more news coming out of this camp in the coming months.
