Are Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase writing a new comedy script together?
Say what you will about where this pair’s respective careers may in fact be, but this is as enticing a proposition as it has ever been.
With stars Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase taking decidedly different routes as of late (one continually talks GHOSTBUSTERS with the other busting guts on Community), the moons appear to be aligning, as the two have now been rumored to be working on a new comedy script as a tandum.
Posts on Aykroyd’s Facebook page (hat tip to Coming Soon), have revealed that they are set to work on a new script, with the details staying under strict lock and key. The actor mentions just how “physically committed” Chase is to his comedy, so I think it’s safe to assume that this sucker will feature a load of slapstick humor, something we all can grow to love.
Personally, I have two minds about this thing. One, I think Chase is working on a high level, particularly with his work on the beloved NBC comedy. Aykroyd has been slopping it up lately with supporting turns in various films, so while I’m not insanely excited for this film, I do have a ton of hope for this film, which has a great deal of potential.
What do you think?
