With 2011 marking the final bow of the HARRY POTTER film franchise, the man himself, actor Daniel Radcliffe, is slowly building one hell of a post-POTTER acting slate.

Variety is reporting that Radcliffe is set to star in the upcoming indie comedy THE AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER, following a man in 1970s New England, who begins to photograph “intimate moments” of the town’s locals.

This joins the recently wrapped horror film THE WOMAN IN BLACK, and his upcoming turn in the Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, proving that while most may know him from the POTTER franchise, that may very well change.

Personally, I absolutely love this news. The premise itself sounds really intriguing, and while he as an actor may be overshadowed by POTTER co-star Emma Watson as far as talent goes, Radcliffe is truly a really talented actor.

The film will be written and directed by Chris Monger, who was up for an Emmy for his screenplay for HBO’s TEMPLE GRANDIN, so there is definitely quite a bit of talent behind this project.
