Dermot Mulroney will KEEP IT TOGETHER
Dermot Mulroney is a likeable character actor who has had the honor of starring in two romantic comedies opposite two different red-headed female leads (MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING and THE WEDDING DATE). Notable because I really think he might be only the person to ever do that. It may be a unique distinction that impacted the world in no significant way, but its better than kitten smothering (but not better than Julia Roberts smothering which he totally had the chance to do, but didn't and lost the opportunity to become a true cinematic hero).
My first goal of the article was to bring up how Dermot Mulroney, someone that seems like a nice a guy, has never been accused of, or suspected, of kitten smothering. Done! (You’re welcome Dermont) The second? To tell you that the actor will be making his directorial debut with KEEP IT TOGETHER. A family drama that centers on a newlywed that comes home to learn that her parents are getting divorce.
Christopher Walken and Blythe Danner are in talks to star as the lead’s parents. No names yet are rumored for to play the film’s female protagonist.
