Alan Tudyk

Back in May we reported that Alan Tudyk was going to be in TRANSFORMERS 3, and today we have details on his role. My expectations for the next TRANSFORMERS movie have gone way up since word of Tudyk's involvement. He is one of my favorite actors, from his character Wash from Firefly to his character Wat in A KNIGHTS TALE, and to his cold and completely insane portrayal of a guy who has had multiple personalities dumped in his mind in Dollhouse. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Shia Labeouf's as well, but Tudyk will be a screen-stealer for me.

So what will Tudyk be doing in the third installment of the Michael Bay franchise?

Tudyk tells From Hollywood With Love that he is playing a Sector Seven agent:

“I’m a fellow agent of [Agent Simmon's], that is sort of his assistant and weapons expert, computer hacker, cyber sleuth.”

I think Tudyk as a quirky agent, talking both algorithms and guns, sounds like quality entertainment. Of course, I am biased and, even if it's a bad job, I will probably still like it - just like with all TRANSFORMERS films that, despite their negative criticism, are still dear to my inner child.
