The Dallas-Fort Worth Critics Association (which I am member of) has announced their best of the year picks. UP IN THE AIR is clearly loved by the DFWFCA, as it won Best Picture, Best Director for Jason Reitman, Best Actor for George Clooney, and Best Screenplay for Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner.

Overall, I somewhat agreed with my fellow members. Several of my picks finished in the top five or ten in the various categories. My number top votes for Best Picture and Best Actor didn't even make the list, but my top selections for Best Supporting Actor and Actress did finish number one. Sharlto Copley from DISTRICT 9 was my vote for Best Actor, and you will have to wait a little while to find out my best film of the year.
