The Dallas Film Society announced today that screenwriter James V. Hart (DRACULA, CONTACT, SAHARA, AUGUST RUSH) will be in attendance at this year’s Dallas International Film Festival to present a special 20th anniversary screening of HOOK – the 1991 Peter Pan sequel of sorts which Hart penned and Steven Spielberg directed.

Mr. Hart had this to say about bringing the film starring Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, and Julia Roberts to DIFF:

“Working with the legendary characters of Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook was a wonderful challenge for me as they deserve the utmost respect and I had to insure they remained timelessly appealing. I am very much looking forward to seeing the DALLAS IFF audience react to HOOK 20 years on and discuss the process I went through in bringing these characters to life.”

The screening, with Q&A to follow, will take place on Sunday, April 10th at 12 PM at the Highland Park Village Theater as a part of the festival’s Special Presentations programming. Visit dallasfilm.org for more information about this and other screenings.
