It's a rarity 'round these parts that a Western gets made, let alone a low, budget indie Western. But writer/director/actor Tanner Beard made just that with THE LEGEND OF HELL'S GATE: AN AMERICAN CONSPIRACY, fictional folklore grounded in historical fact that tells the story of how Hell's Gate' at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas came to be known as it is today. You may even recognize a few familiar icons from the Old West such as 'Doc' Holliday and Jesse James along the way in this here legend!

We sat down with Beard, along with Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill), Lou Taylor Pucci (THUMBSUCKER), and producer Suzanne Weinert, to discuss making a Western with roots in history, some of the rough and tumble things that happened on a set full of cowboys, Western films that influenced HELL'S GATE, and more!
