Earlier this year, we let you know that Peter Dinklage (THE STATION AGENT, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN) was set to appear in the RPG comedy epic KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM (do I really need to tell you what RPG stands for?). KNIGHTS centers around a group of costumed LARP-ers (Live Action Role-Players) from New Jersey, whose make-believe battle of elves and orcs turns real after an ancient spell book bought off of eBay is used to accidentally conjur up an actual demon.

Now, the horror-comedy not only has a director in Joe Lynch (WRONG TURN 2) but actors Steve Zahn (A PERFECT GETAWAY, HBO's Treme), Ryan Kwanten (HBO's True Blood) and Danny Pudi (ABC's Community) have joined the cast. Can you imagine a better group of nerf-wielding nerds going up against the powers of darkness? Can we skip the movie and go straight to the hit TV series?

From DARKON to UBER GOOBER, there have been a number of films documenting the real fake lives of LARPers, and the subject has even made its way into mainstream comedies like ROLE MODELS starring Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott. There's even a great Mortal Kombat inspired short that took home the crown at the 2007 48 hour film contest Bloodshots (put on by the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX) that is worth checking out.
