Director Walter Hill out of BULLET TO THE HEAD; Sylvester Stallone to re-cut the film himself

John Mulhern

March 5th, 2012

Good ol' Sly Stallone has been back in a big way the past couple years. ROCKY BALBOA came out, then RAMBO, which he followed up with THE EXPENDABLES, turning him back into a staple of action cinema. His most recent film, BULLET TO THE HEAD, was set to be released this April but had been changed to a TBA release date.

Details are few for now, but we do know that Stallone plans to recut the entire film himself.

Stallone has proven himself as a director, so there aren't many qualms with the fact that he is recutting the film. Where worry arises is from the fact that he has to. What was going on behind the scenes to make this happen? As of right now, it seems that Stallone wasn't happy with how the film was turning out, so he took it into his own hands. But, now that he is on the job, it's looking like the film might be releasing November.

BULLET TO THE HEAD won't be our only dose of Stallone this year, THE EXPENDABLES 2 is set to be released August 17, 2012.
