Does Gary Oldman reveal anything new about the villain in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?
After giving you new plot details and confirming that Marion Cotillard is in serious talks to appear in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Gary Oldman a.k.a Commissioner Gordon (a.k.a. total badass) has revealed some new tidbits on who the villains might be for the next entry into Nolan's BATMAN series. But is he telling us anything we don't already know?
Judge for yourself after the break.
Oldman had this to say about the next threat for Batman during an interview for RED RIDING HOOD:
"I think it's a villain from one of the old, old, from way back from the old comics...It isa Batman villain...It's not going to be the Joker. If I told you who the villain was, they'd kill me."
Don't we already know that the film's villains will be Tom Hardy's Bane, aided by Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Black Mask and Marion Cotillard as the vengeful Talia Al-Ghul?
So, is the news here that The Joker won't be appearing?
Regardless of whether or not Oldman's just teasing us, Oldman is very confident we won't be disappointed: "I know the story, I just think it's going to be terrific."
