Mondo’s newest print in their Disney series celebrates “The Wise Little Hen," a 1934 one-reel Silly Symphony cartoon that marked the debut of Donald Duck. The series premiered a few months ago with “Steamboat Willie” and April brought us “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” Tom Whalen has illustrated all the Disney prints thus far, including “The Wise Little Hen."

Check it out after the break.

The print measures 18” x 24” and costs $45. "The Wise Little Hen" is an edition of 325.

Mondo has opted to sell the print with an in-store release as well as an online sale the next day. The in-store release will be at the Mondo store in Austin, TX on May 4th at 5pm (get there early). The remaining prints will be sold online on May 5th at a random time.

Make sure to follow Mondo on Twitter for the release announcement (and also check out their second Twitter page reserved for in-store releases and shipping announcements).

What are your thoughts on the Disney series so far? Has Mondo gone too mainstream?
