Don’t try this at home! TRANSFORMERS 3 base jumping featurette

I can vividly imagine Michael Bay sitting at home and catching some news piece on 60 Minutes about precision base jumping in wing suits, then immediately calling Spielberg to demand that they have precision base jumping in wing suits in TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON. And I can imagine that so vividly because apparently that is exactly how precision base jumping in wing suits came to be in the film. I can't make this stuff up...

All joking aside, the sequence in reference is likely to be jaw-dropping (especially in IMAX 3D) and there's never been one quite like it. In the following featurette, precision skydiver J.T. Holmes gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the stunt he and his team performed for the film, which involved them base jumping off the top of Chicago's Sears Tower then flying through the cityscape. How this fits in the film we'll have to wait till June 29th and see but it somehow involves Lt. Colonel William Lennox (Josh Duhamel), Robert Epps (Tyrese Gibson), and their N.E.S.T. unit attempting to take back the city from the Decepticons by air.
