due date film still

Just a little over a month ago the trailer for DUE DATE hit. The names Todd Phillips, Zach Galifianakis, and Robert Downey Jr. were enough to have me anticipating this film, but the trailer promised even greater things than I could have imagined. Sure, what we’ve seen so far will draw comparisons to PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

A new poster has been released for the film, which hits theaters on November 5. November can’t get here soon enough. The poster shows Downey looking less than pleased and sporting various battle scars. Galifianakis is looking blissfully ignorant to his travel companion’s woes – smiling widely for the camera and holding a dog with one of those unfortunate cone-shaped collars. I’m glad they gave Galifianakis another cute and cuddly sidekick to take care of, a la the baby in THE HANGOVER. Speaking of THE HANGOVER, you might notice that this poster is very similar to the one for that film. Check out the poster after the jump.

In addition to Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, DUE DATE features Jamie Foxx, Juliette Lewis, Michelle Monaghan, Alan Arkin, Matt Walsh, and the RZA. The film is directed by Todd Phillips.

Obama is largely powerless to stop it though; if he had said he opposed it, many in NYC, especially in Manhattan (the opposition is primarily in the outer boroughs) would have seen it as an unwanted intrusion into local issues.
