Duplass Brothers and Jonah Hill to reteam on PITCHFORK
With CYRUS making the rounds to favorable reception last year, the team of directors Jay and Mark Duplass and star Jonah Hill look to bring their forces back together for a new flick.
24 Frames is reporting that the trio will be teaming back up for a new film entitled PITCHFORK. The film is described as a “dramatic thriller,” that follows “the middle-aged mother of an indie rocker who, after her son is killed in a car accident, seeks vengeance on an online blogger who had peddled snark about her son. Things take a turn, though, when she finds out the snarker is just a teenager.” Oh, and the son happens to blog for the titular iconic music website.
Susan Sarandon is being looked at as the likeliest lead for the role of mother, but with the film very much in the early stages of formation, nothing is truly set in stone quite yet. With the pair’s JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME getting ready to go, this shouldn’t be too far off, so expect a lot of news on this one soon. I think the premise and creative team here are both top-notch, so this is a film that can’t get here quick enough.
