EASY A director Will Gluck to adapt novel “Sex on the Moon” for the big screen
It was previously announced that producers of THE SOCIAL NETWORK, Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca, and Dana Brunetti and executive producer Kevin Spacey would be working with Sony to bring an adaptation of the book Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History to the big screen. The book is authored by Ben Mezrich, and followed The Accidental Billionaires which was then adapted into THE SOCIAL NETWORK by Aaron Sorkin.
According to The LA Times, Will Gluck, the director of last year’s hit EASY A and the upcoming FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, has been hired to develop and direct the Sex on the Moon project.
The book tells the true story of ”the wild escapades of 25-year-old NASA intern Thad Roberts, who in an effort to impress a girl orchestrated a plan to steal lunar rocks from the Johnson Space Center and sell them on the Internet.”
