Toby Jones

Just a day or so after it was revealed that Ian McShane had taken the role of lead dwarf in the upcoming Universal project SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, he’s slowly building his crew.

THR is reporting that Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins and Toby Jones are in talks to take on three more dwarf roles, the characters of Tiberius (Izzard), Constantine (Hoskins) and Claudius (Jones).  The remaining characters are Nero (angry), Hadrian and Trajan (twins) and Gus, the young one of the bunch. The outlet also reports that Eddie Marsan and Stephen Graham are in talks, but the roles have not been revealed. They join Charlize Theron, Kirsten Stewart, and Chris Hemsworth.

Personally, while I find it odd that Universal seems to be avoiding any and all actors with the correct stature to take on these roles, I can’t help but fall insanely in love with this casting.  I think this film is shaping up to be a real gem, and far and away more interesting than the seemingly rushed Tarsem take on the character.  This damn thing can’t get here fast enough.
