Edgar Wright doesn’t want you to worry about SCOTT PILGRIM reshoots
As soon as the blogosphere found out that Edgar Wright was going to be doing some additional filming for SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD, it seemed like a panic was a brewin' and it was about to hit its boiling point. Despite a trailer that looks pretty stellar, and countless positive reviews (including Kevin Smith saying "It’s spellbinding and nobody is going to understand wtf just hit them"), people still want to panic. If you are one of those who starts to shake at the thought of the cameras coming back out, take a deep breath and read what Edgar Wright is up to, in his own words...it should put your mind at ease.
"To be honest - I'm excited about it. We have material from Vol 6 that is impossible to resist and so even after a nearly a year of editing - it's going to be fun to put some icing on the cake. We are not even redoing one full scene, just some bits and bobs and new jokes and beats that I wrote with Bacall & O'Malley. Both Shaun & Hot Fuzz had two and three days respectively of additional shooting. One of those bits was the granny being kicked in the face. I think we can all agree that was a good pickup."
So there you have it, it's nothing to get concerned about, and who knows...maybe one of the things they're shooting is a scene where Scott Pilgrim kicks a granny in the face!
