Edward Norton in Fight Club

Well, Edward Norton is definitely interested in whatever Christopher Nolan does in regards to the hero franchises. Film School Rejects brought us the news today that Norton is interested in playing the main villain in BATMAN 3. This news only made me want to know more on the subject, soI found an interview that Norton did exclusively with IGN U.K. on that very topic.

IGN spoke with Norton about the INCREDIBLE HULK and how he felt about being replaced in the AVENGERS film. Norton had this to say:

"I think I said everything I want to say in the one thing I put out about that,  It was a great privilege to do it, and I couldn't be more appreciative of everybody's support and positivity towards that because I love those films too. And I hate it when they miss. I hate it when they miss on one - it seems like such a wasted opportunity. But the truth is I'm probably more naturally interested in doing something that I haven't done. I have only good thoughts towards that though."

So despite what occurred, he wasn't put off to the idea of doing more superhero films. In fact, he feels one man in particular has it right when it comes to the genre. And it's, you guessed it, Christopher Nolan! Norton said, "Chris Nolan's making the best ones out there by far. I'd do one with him. He's set a new bar for sure, and I think he's done a great, great job."

When asked about playing the villain in BATMAN 3. he said, "That would be fun, I would not say no to that." And when asked specifically about the Riddler, he smiled and said, "Your guys can put their votes in on that."

I like Edward Norton, and I think he would do well as an evil guy, just look at AMERICAN HISTORY X. And I'm sure he could pull of the Riddler or someone similar, but what do you think? Do you want Edward Norton opposite Batman in BATMAN 3?
