Einstein biopic gets its scribe
I have to be completely honest, I’m not all too familiar with the life of Albert Einstein, but I have always been curious. This is exactly why I think an Einstein biopic makes complete sense, and something tells me that many others share this sentiment. That’s why I’m pleased to say that a writer has been picked up for the project, and that writer is Stephen Schiff.
Schiff will be crafting his inspiration from multiple accounts of Einsteins life, primarily that of Princeton and Hebrew Universities archives. Additionally, he will be using a biography by Walter Isaacson titled Einstein: His Life and Universe.
The film will be based in between the years of 1902 through 1939, which I think is a very interesting aspect to this project. Oftentimes a biopic will try to focus on the subject’s entire life, and it can be a little too much. So why not focus on the subject while they are in their most interesting, prime years.
So far, there is no reason to be anything other than excited about this project, because it sounds like they are on a creative and interesting track. The next hurdle the project might have is who to cast as Einstein, as I have a hard time imagining anyone in the role (aside from Walter Matthau). Do you guys have any ideas about who could pull off the role?
