Etan Cohen to adapt Musunahi
Musunahi is the website of the Museum of SuperNatural History which features some pretty out there stuff. For example, today there were posts about Sasquatch, the Loch Ness monster, the acid-spitting Mongolian death worm, and a worldwide giant ant colony. It's only natural in the digital age that production companies would want to get their hands on popular sites for the feature film treatment, and that is just what DreamWorks intends to do with Musunahi.
Etan Cohen, one of the men behind the pen for IDIOCRACY, TROPIC THUNDER, and MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA, has signed on to write the screenplay for Musunahi. The screenplay will focus on the man behind the site, Ernest Lupinacci, and his efforts to "seek out and protect the world's best-kept secrets -- think Stonehenge, the Sphinx, scientific breakthroughs."
The idea of this movie has me freaked out already. But Cohen isn't one to shy away from a challenging writing project. He is currently working on the film adaptation of CANDY LAND, MEN IN BLACK 3, PROJECT A, and the Judd Apatow Sherlock Holmes comedy, which will star Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen.
