Last week, we featured the terrifying teaser trailer for a little indie horror gem entitled DOWN THE ROAD. This week we are thrilled to debut the first poster for the film from writer/director Jason Christopher!

Shot entirely in Philadelphia, the FRIDAY THE 13th/TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE-esque ROAD centers around a group of friends on their dream weekend getaway only to discover that it is in fact a nightmare, after they encounter a mad man out for revenge. But revenge for what? That is the question...

Check out the poster, along with the trailer and brief synopsis, after the break! And stay tuned, as we'll surely bring you more on the film as it rolls out of post-production.

A father, Hunter Isth, is rocked by a tragic accident in his life. He fleets town and is no longer seen. Partying teenagers fall victim to a town lunatic. Through out the years the stories become urban legends and more than likely, myths.

In present day we meet Jenn, a tough and beautiful girl, who has just been released from an extensive stay at the hospital. When her parents bring her home she barely has time to rest as her friends come over and drag her out camping for the weekend.

Seven friends venture out to the woods but as each friend starts dissapearing one by one they each try to survive the wrath of a true mad man.

Fun Fact: DOWN THE ROAD stars veteran genre actor Clint Howard (the HALLOWEEN remake) with a script edited and revised by veteran horror screenwriter Victor Miller (the original FRIDAY THE 13th).
