Fantastic Fest 2010 Video Interview: RED actor Karl Urban
When you take a gander at a guy like Karl Urban, with his impossibly good looks and a jawline that seems to have the independent ability to deflower virgins, you can immediately guess as to his movie star profession. What you may not guess is that this handsome devil has become a mainstay of high-genre cinema.
Dabbling in fantasy, sci-fi, action, and horror, Urban has delivered masterful performances in all of our favorite, geekiest arenas. On October 15, Urban proves his thespian mettle against the likes of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Brian Cox, and John Malkovich. Even in such staggeringly talented company, Urban shines. Gordon and the Whale…and I recently had the very good fortune of sitting down with the dreamiest ass-kicker this side of William Shatner.
