Featurette for AVATAR video game
I'm not the gamer now that I was when I was a kid. The only system I own is a Wii, and that should tell you something. Still, I like to keep up with news from the video game industry. Unfortunately, when gaming and movies cross paths the results aren't always pretty. Let's face it, movie video games suck (for the most part). Despite this fact, after watching this developer diary on the upcoming AVATAR game, I think it might actually be a good game!
The main reason is James Cameron's heavy involvement of the game. The famous director has actually been working with the people at Ubisoft since he began work on the movie, so both projects have been created in unison, and both with the approval of James Cameron. Just by looking at his work, you know that Cameron is a major geek, and he wouldn't put his name on a crappy game.
Of course, it could suck. We all remember "Enter the Matrix," another game that was developed along with the MATRIX sequels and featured some heavy involvement from the film's directors (who also happen to be major geeks). That didn't turn out so well. Keep reading to see the featurette.
